Spirit have joined G2 in the grand final of the Champions Cup Finals after beating FURIA 2-0 (Mirage 16-4, Nuke 16-11).

The Brazilian squad didn't turn up until halfway through the second map, with Spirit picking up a convincing victory, looking much-improved from their early exit last week at the ESEA MDL Season 32 Global Challenge as they made their first grand final with the new roster featuring Nikolay "⁠mir⁠" Bityukov and Boris "⁠magixx⁠" Vorobiev.

Although FURIA are still yet to play a third-place decider against ENCE, they will end the year without a grand final appearance in the lineup bolstered by Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles in September.

FURIA's pistol round win at the beginning of Mirage proved fruitless, as mir's 1v3 clutch in a second-round forcebuy turned the tables in favor of Spirit, who began mounting a dominant offensive half. The Brazilians stopped the streak at six in a row, but they couldn't string more together as their opponents were up 11-4 by halftime.

With another clutch situation going the Russians' way in the second pistol round, courtesy of Leonid "⁠chopper⁠" Vishnyakov this time around, the opening map quickly came to a close, as Spirit claimed a 1-0 lead in the series at 16-4.

Viktor "⁠sdy⁠" Orudzhev's team's rampage continued when the series turned to Nuke, with a 1v2 from chopper helping Spirit get off to a dominant offensive start again. Down 1-7, Kaike "⁠KSCERATO⁠" Cerato and HEN1 stepped up with some individual plays and Andrei "⁠arT⁠" Piovezan followed with a triple in a low buy, allowing FURIA to come back into contention with six out of the last seven rounds.

After Spirit clinched the second pistol round, they seemed to hit a snag as FURIA equalized things at 10-10, but triples from magixx in a 2v4 retake and sdy in a halfbuy swung the map back in their favor, with the Russians rallying to a 16-11 scoreline.
